Continental launches new tyre management sensor for CV tyres

Germany – Late last year, tyre manufacturer Continental AG of Hanover, Germany, launched a new CV tyre sensor that measures tyre pressure in real time. This data is accessed through the ContiConnect tyre app. This entry-level valve cap solution allows fleet managers quicker and easier tyre management, saving time and boosting profitability.
The valve cap sensor is screwed directly onto the valve of a bus, truck or trailer tyre and measures the tyre pressure. Designed with plug-and-play in mind, the sensor is compatible with all major tyre brands (CV tyres). This allows the tyres to run optimally, optimising fuel efficiency and a longer tyre life contributing to what Continental refers to as the “Lowest Overall Driving Costs” (LODC) concept.
