France – At Hyvolution, held between 30 January and 1 February at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris, Hyvia, a joint venture between Renault and Plug Power based in Villiers-Saint-Frédéric, France, showcased a fuel cell electric Renault ‘Master’ van and announced funding for hydrogen vehicles and infrastructure in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southeastern France.

At the show, Hyvia presented a Master van with fuel cell electric driveline which was converted into a workshop vehicle by Kollé of Santeny. It was fitted with a 57-kW motor with 225 Nm of torque, a 30-kW fuel cell, and an auxiliary battery with a capacity of 33 kWh. Energy storage comes primarily in the form of five Forvia hydrogen tanks, and a port allows for plug-in battery charging. The van will be available in three versions offering cargo volumes of 10.4, 12.6, and 14.4 cubic metres, with a maximum payload of up to 1,389 kg.
