FranceRenault Trucks SAS, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Saint-Priest, France, has announced plans to build a new logistics building on the site of its axle manufacturing plant, becoming its global distribution centre for spare parts.

The planned facility will cover 46,000 square metres and employ more than 500 workers, engaged in storing and distributing spare parts as well as electric vehicle batteries. 4,000 square metres will be given over to office space. Representing an investment of EUR132m, the new logistics centre is set to open in 2028, with beginning of construction slated for 2026. Solar panels will cover the entire roof of the finished building, providing energy not only for the logistics centre but also for neighbouring facilities. Renault Trucks says it will plant 400 trees around the site.
