Japan - Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), headquartered in Kawasaki City in Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tokyo-based Daimler Truck Financial Services Asia Company Ltd (DTFSA) and Tokyo-based logistics infrastructure developer, ESR Group Ltd to establish a charging network for battery-powered Fuso trucks within ESR’s logistics facilities in Japan’s key metropolitan areas.

MFTBC said the partnership is part of its “Fuso eMobility Solutions” programme which supports customers’ shift to battery-powered trucks such as the eCanter light-duty truck. The new partnership will look to offer various solutions to realize carbon-neutral logistics and will also promote DTFSA’s “Fuso Green Lease” - a leasing programme dedicated specifically to the eCanter.
