While LCV trucks sales stagnate overall in Q3 of 2023-24 its 3.5 to 6 ton segment makes a major comeback

India - Sales of LCV goods carrier (truck) vehicles gvw ≤ 7.5t domestic stagnated in Q3 of FY 2023-24 with sales rising by just 0.6% to 134,163 units compared with 133,340 units in same period of FY 2022-23. Production also rose by very little (0.4%) to 136,523 units and there was little change in export sales, rising just 0.7% to 12,941.

The second largest segment, GVW ≤ 2t, reflected the market overall; domestic sales dipped by 0.4% to 43,396 units in Q3 of FY2023-24 from 45,364 units in Q3 of FY2022-23, whereas production improved 7.6%, up 3,000 to 43,080 and export sales also added a few, up by 15.6%.to register 1,372 units compared with Q3 in the previous year.
