Indian tractor demand strong in Q3 with sales up by 25%

India - Tractor sales grow overall by 25.3% during the third quarter of FY 2023-24 to register 17,010 units compared with 13,578 units in the same quarter of the previous year (FY 2022-23). Tractor production increased by 24.2% overall from 13,717 units to 17,030 units and export sales decline by 14.3%.

The light-weight tractor (26.4 tons < GVW ≤ 40 tons) segment saw sales fall sharply  by 42.5% to 784 units in the Q3 of FY 2023-24 from 1,364 units in the Q3 of FY 2022-23. Export sales also declined sharply by 56.5% yet production increased by 69.4%.
