Krone continues to digitalise fleet services

Krone QR Code equipped to LKW trailer
Austria / Germany – German trailer manufacturer, Krone Commercial Vehicles SE (a subsidiary of Bernard Krone Holding GmbH & Co KG) of Werlte, Germany, has teamed up with Austrian logistics company LKW Walter, to introduce access to electronic consignment notes (eCMR) on its trailers. Krone has equipped LKW trailers with a QR code, which gives access to the eCMR. The QR code can be scanned on a smartphone (smart device) through the Krone Smart Assistant app. This gives everyone access to the eCMR, the trailer's vehicle documents and the Walter driver app. Digitalising this administrative process will save LKW time and money as well as the added environmental benefit of saving the paper traditionally used fleet transporters.
