Krone has fully absorbed fleet digitalisation service provider ECR, which continues to act independently, providing its clients with digital services that optimise fleet efficiency and business processes.

The establishment of Krone Norge AS is part of a wider strategic restructuring of the Krone Scandinavian sales network. This subsidiary replaces its previous sales partner, Vogn Service, which has been exclusively importing Korne products into the region since 2008.

Developed in collaboration with fellow German company Trailer Dynamics, Krone will present its new eTrailer, equipped with an electrified eAxle that recovers braking energy through recuperation, reducing the consumption of diesel and therefore the amount of CO2 produced.

Opened in September 2013, this facility has been servicing local demand and has been supplying 31 different countries in Europe, the Middle and Far East, Africa and South America for over a decade. Krone says that 63 per cent of the trailers produced at this factory are for export.

This deal will involve integrating the real-time trailer generated by Krone's telematics system with the TIP trailer telematics software to produce more reliable data.

The Coil Liner range includes four different types: the standard version for up to a 30-ton payload, the Coil Liner Ultra in lightweight design with cross beams, the shorter Coil Liner Compact for up to 30-ton payload, and the Mega Liner Coil in cross beam design.

The “Krone Trusted Tyre Comfort” (KT231) tyre will feature a reinforced carcass and a widened tread depth (18mm), with a low rolling resistance. Krone claims that this product offers a cost advantage of up to 35 percent compared to competitive products on the market.

Dr Tono Nasch is appointed to Krone’s Supervisory Board bringing experience and skills in automated testing technology and electromobility to the company as Krone looks to meet the challenges of electrification, automation and digitalisation.

Krone announced that CTE Trailers will start as the new official importer for Krone in Bulgaria, replacing Krone BG Ltd. This is due to the rising demand for Krone trailers in the country as CTE Trailers has a large service network (five authorised service partners) offering comprehensive after-market services.

Currently, in its fifth generation, the Profi Liner now features a new multi-lock outer frame, more than 3,000 lashing possibilities for securing loads and is now available with numerous telematics functions.
