Schwarzmüller says there will be virtually no overlap between its “infrastructure vehicles” and Krone’s core expertise in road freight transport – the two brands will remain separate.

In partnership with Trailer Dynamics, the company showcased its new eTrailer, a significant step in the electrification of freight transport. The eTrailer is equipped with a new electric axle that helps reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 50%, depending on the application and route.

The deal is subject to approval: if permitted by the antitrust authorities, Krone will make use of Schwarzmüller’s sales and manufacturing footprint to extend its market presence in Europe and expand its distribution capacity.

The 2,000m2 warehouse in Northern Italy in Mantova will begin operations in Q4 2024. The aim is to shorten the delivery time of Krone spare parts in Italy.

Krone says its Dry Box Swap Body container has increased ease of use and more protection against damage than previous generations.

Customers (workshops and fleet operators) in Continental Europe can now purchase more than 300 branded truck parts, covering over 80 percent of common wear parts on trucks, through the Krone website.

Krone has fully absorbed fleet digitalisation service provider ECR, which continues to act independently, providing its clients with digital services that optimise fleet efficiency and business processes.

The establishment of Krone Norge AS is part of a wider strategic restructuring of the Krone Scandinavian sales network. This subsidiary replaces its previous sales partner, Vogn Service, which has been exclusively importing Korne products into the region since 2008.
