Continental updates its tyre tech app

Germany – Continental AG of Hanover, has made significant upgrades to its “Tire Tech” app, ushering in multiple new functions, including the addition of the van and camper-van tyre segments, as the company continues to expand its digitalisation offerings. Commercial Vehicle (CV) tyre regulations from over 39 countries have been included, provided in 20 languages. There is now an “offline mode” enabling app use with no network connection.
The new Tire Tech app offers more technical information on tyre diagnostics, monitoring tyre distance, condition, pressure and tread depth as well as tyre history. There is also a tyre inflation pressure calculator which works out the optimal pressure based on axle load and tyre size. This integrated platform allows every tyre to be tracked individually allowing operators to schedule tyre maintenance better and manage tyre replacement more cost-effectively.
