USAMack Trucks Inc, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Greensboro, North Carolina, has begun pilot testing its Class 6-7 battery electric truck range with four customers, according to an announcement made during Work Truck Week 2024 at the Indiana Convention Center.

The ‘MD Electric’ range was first announced at last year’s Work Truck Week. It comprises two models with gross vehicle weight ratings of 25,995lbs and 33,000lbs respectively. They are fitted with powertrains supplied by Australian-American supplier SEA Electric. According to Mack, the MD Electric is now in full production at Roanoke Valley Operations in Virginia.
