Renault Trucks opens urban service outlet in Lyon

France – A new logistics centre is opening in the French city of Lyon which will feature a service outlet for Renault Trucks vehicles – an experiment by the manufacturer in providing support to its urban customers near to where their vehicles operate.

The new centre, called ‘Urban Logistics Hotel’, is situated in at the Édouard Hériot port, in the Gerland quarter of the city’s 7th arrondissement. Goods transported to Lyon will be unladen and sorted at the centre before being loaded in vehicles for last-mile delivery. ‘Renault Trucks City’ – a service outlet operated by the company’s dealership in the nearby commune of Corbas – will provide maintenance and repair services for medium-duty trucks and light commercial vehicles operated by its customers in the local area.
