Peterbilt and Kenworth offer new Paccar transmissions for vocational applications

USA – Peterbilt Motors Company of Denton, Texas and Kenworth Truck Company of Kirkland, Washington have announced new vocational applications for their medium- and heavy-duty trucks with the latest transmissions from parent company Paccar Inc of Bellevue, Washington.
First, Peterbilt announced that the new ‘TX-12 PRO’ automated transmission by Paccar is now available with the heavy-duty 567 and 579 truck models, allowing for high performance in vocational applications. It should be paired with an engine providing up to 1,700 lbs-ft of torque in order to work optimally in vehicles with a GCWR (gross combination weight rating) of up to 70,000 lbs.
