Canada / USA – After launching its electric truck brand in the U.S. last year (Rizon), Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) of Portland, Oregon has announced that these class 4-5 trucks will be heading to Canada. The vehicles are manufactured by Daimler Truck subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (“Fuso”) in Kawasaki, Japan. The Rizon brand was presented at the Truck World expo in Toronto (April 18 – 20) with pre-orders set to begin in June this year. Importantly, Rizon battery-electric vehicles qualify for Canadian government subsidies through the Medium- and Heavy-duty-Zero-Emission Vehicles” (iMHZEV) program.

Canadian customers will be offered a choice of four model variants, namely the e16L, e16M, e18L, and the e18M ranging from 7.25T to 8.55T GVW.
