CARB-compliant Paccar engine now offered in Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks

USA – The latest low nitrogen oxide (NOx) 13-litre engine from Paccar Inc of Bellevue, Washington is now available in Kenworth and Peterbilt’s heavy duty truck ranges, ensuring compliance with the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) latest regulations.

The ‘Paccar MX-13’ with additional low-NOx aftertreatment is now being offered with Peterbilt’s Model 579, 567, and 589 trucks and with Kenworth’s T680, T880, and W990 trucks. Kenworth stated that production of its CARB-compliant trucks would begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
