Eaton unveils new high-powered fuses for Commercial EVs at ACT

Eaton engineer performs tests on a fuse for electrified commercial vehicles

USA – At the Advanced Clean Technology (ACT) expo in Las Vegas last month, Ohio-based power management firm, Eaton Corporation unveiled new high-powered fuses (Eaton Bussmann series) for electric CVs. Capable of handling up to 1400 amps and 900 volts, these fuses are customisable, meaning they can be tailored to the customer's particular specifications. Paralleling multiple fuses can increase current capability. According to the company, various stages of testing in multiple environments mean the product is safe to operate in all weather conditions and is resistant to thermal shock.
