ZF and Aidrivers to retrofit terminal tractors with autonomous driving technology

Germany / UK – ZF Friedrichshafen AG, an automotive systems manufacturer based in Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has announced a strategic cooperation with tech firm Aidrivers Ltd of London, UK on the development of autonomous operations in container ports.
The primary aim of the partnership is to retrofit terminal tractors to make them capable of moving goods autonomously within the port. Aidrivers will contribute its expertise in developing autonomous driving software, while ZF’s Mobility Solutions division will act as engineering partner, handling integration, validation, and deployment of the technology.
