Voith signs cooperation agreement with Weifu Group on hydrogen storage systems for Europe and China

Germany / China – On 13 June, J M Voith SE & Co KG (“Voith”) of Heidenheim an der Brenz, Baden-Württemberg, Germany signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese components giant Wuxi Weifu High-Technology Group Co Ltd (“Weifu”), with the view of establishing two joint ventures for the development and commercialisation of hydrogen storage systems.

One of the joint ventures will be based in Germany and will be majority owned by Voith, together with its new subsidiary, Voith HySTech GmbH of Garching, Bavaria. The other joint venture will be established in China with Weifu as majority owner. Both joint ventures will cooperate on research, development, production, and application in the European and Chinese markets.
