Regional decline of CV sales across the markets of East Asia accelerates in Q1 of 2024

East Asia - The market for commercial vehicles over 2 tons gvw in East Asia’s seven main markets, excluding China, continued to deteriorate in the first quarter of 2024 - with sales falling sharply by more than 28% year-on-year to 268,053 units, based on data compiled from numerous industry sources including industry associations and vehicle manufacturers.

This compares with a 14% year-on-year decline in regional sales to 321,617 units in the fourth quarter of 2023 and a 7% fall to 1,329,301 units in the whole of last year, with most markets in the region falling sharply.
