Eaton introduces next-generation fuel tank isolation valve for hybrid EVs

USA – Eaton Corporation of Maumee, Ohio, a power management firm, launched an upgraded fuel tank isolation valve (FTIV) for hybrid vehicles, which is 27% lighter, 39% smaller and contains 24% fewer components than the previous generation. The reduced dimensions can reduce packing challenges. Eaton has said that it has agreements in place to supply its next-generation FTIV to two global automotive customers.
