Daimler offers “depot charging package” to German customers

Hypercharger DC fast charger

Germany – As the eActros 600 heads into series production later this year, Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg is driving its e-mobility rollout by offering its customers a “depot charging package” which includes hardware sales, installation and maintenance. This service is now available to customers in Germany and will be rolled out to other parts of Europe in the next few years. Chargers can also be purchased through the Daimler Truck Financial Solutions service. The aim is to ensure a smooth transition to electromobility by providing the necessary charging infrastructure to support these new battery-electric trucks.

The hardware partner is Italian EV charging manufacturer Alpitronic, which produces the Hypercharger DC fast charger. Daimler has said that they were chosen due to the quality and reliability of the product as well as the modular design, ensuring easy installation and maintenance. Furthermore, Alpitronic boasts an extensive service network across Europe, with more than 200 technicians able to service its chargers.
