GermanyMAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, is partnering with multinational utility company E.ON SE of Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia to install up to four hundred public charging points for trucks across 170 locations in Europe.

The first location will open later this year, and up to eighty more will follow next year. These charging hubs will be built at existing MAN service sites across Europe, primarily in industrial areas or next to motorways. The charging points will be accessible to the public and, where possible, will have separate entrances and exits from the adjoining MAN locations, allowing drivers with trucks made by rival brands to use the charging facilities.
