Brazilian bus and coach chassis production up 53.8 in first half of the year

Brazil - Production of bus chassis in Brazil surged by 53.8% in the first half of the year reaching 14,668 units compared with 9,539 units in the same period last year, according to data from Anfavea (National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers). June alone saw a production increase of 35.4%, with 2,639 units produced compared with 1,949 units in June 2023.

Of the total bus chassis produced from January to June 2024, urban models dominated with 85% of production (12,462 units), marking a 57.4% increase from 7,915 units in the same period last year. Coach chassis accounted for 2,206 units (15% share), up by 35.8% from 1,624 units in the first six months of 2023.
