Canada – Hydrogen-fuel-cell powered vehicle (FCEV) startup First Hydrogen Corporation of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has announced plans to build a left-hand variant for the Mexican, South American and European markets to expand its global reach. These vans will be produced at its plant in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada. No date for production has been supplied but currently, these vans have been engaged in customer trials.

The company has been involved in several trials with operators including an unnamed parcel delivery operator. The tests have enabled First Hydrogen to gather more data on fuel consumption, usage and efficiency, to therefore calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) more accurately. First Hydrogen claims that its FCEV van has a 400-600km range on a single fuel tank filled at 700 bar, which only takes five minutes to fill.
