India’s bus and coach market displays sturdy growth in Q1, exports take a hit

India - The data presented below, provided by the industry engineering consultancy RACE Innovations Inc., reflects the performance of India's bus and coach market across various weight categories for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25 (April to June 2024) compared with the same period in 2023-24. Total production across all categories showed a robust increase of 24.3%, rising from 11,624 units in Q1 2023-24 to 14,454 units in Q1 2024-25. Domestic sales demonstrated significant growth as well, increasing by 52.8%, from 11,027 units to 16,854 units. However, the export market faced challenges, with a 16.8% decline, falling from 2,388 units in Q1 2023-24 to 1,986 units in Q1 2024-25.
