Germany – At IAA Transportation 2024, held between 17-22 September in Hanover, Scania AB of Södertälje, Sweden promoted two new service offerings: a driver coaching app for reducing fuel consumption in combustion engine trucks and a comprehensive service portfolio for the whole of Europe.

Scania’s new driver coaching application, called ‘Scania ProDriver’, is accessible via the ‘Scania Driver’ and ‘My Scania’ platforms. It provides lessons and assignments in a gamified fashion to teach drivers how to save on fuel. Fleet managers can track their drivers’ progress through the app. By turning real vehicle data into teachable insights, Scania claims that its ProDriver app can lead to fuel savings of up to 5%, especially in regional and long-haul operations. ProDriver will be available as standard in all Scania ICE trucks from 2025 onwards.
