IAA Transportation 2024: Accuride unveils new lightweight CV wheels for the European market

Germany / USA – At the 2024 IAA Transportation event in Hanover last month, Indiana-based wheel manufacturer, Accuride Corp, introduced its AeroLight concept study as well as Europe's lightest front axle and trailer wheel, weighing just 36.2 kg, along with a new range of forged aluminium wheels for the European commercial vehicle sector. Accuride states that engineers at the company have made these wheels more lightweight by combining a revised wheel design, stress-optimised rim contour and high-strength low-alloy materials.
