Germany / Turkey – At the 2024 IAA Transportation in Hanover, new Turkish bus builder Habas*, (HABAS Sinai Ve Tibbi Gazlar Istihsal Endustrisi AS) headquartered in Kartal, Istanbul, announced it would start series production at the end of this year as planned. After exhibiting four of its buses last year in Brussels at Busworld Europe, Habas representatives said that these vehicles will be prominently produced for the CIS Eurasian market, namely Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The first bus set to go into series production will be the 12-metre ComfortCity Diesel low-floor city bus. The three-door 106-passenger (26 seated) vehicle features a Euro 6 Paccar 300ps engine, ZF Eco-life transmission and ZF axles.
