Australia – Australian bus manufacturer, BusTech Group* (BusTech) of Burleigh Heads, Queensland, has entered into voluntary administration due to financial difficulties. This move came as the company struggled with debts exceeding USD 35 million, prompting them to seek assistance in managing their financial challenges. The company currently has manufacturing plants in Queensland and South Australia, producing diesel, hybrid and zero-emission buses. Whilst in administration the company will continue to operate, having recently won a USD 11.75 million state contract to supply vehicle bodies in South Australia. The future of the company, as well as its 270 employees, remains uncertain.
