MAN eTGX in Dräxlmaier livery

GermanyMAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, has started customer deliveries of its heavy-duty ‘eTruck’ range, handing over its first battery electric 40-tonne truck to a customer in eastern Germany.

The ‘eTGX’ was handed over to automotive supplier Dräxlmaier of Vilsbiburg, who will use it to transport batteries to the Porsche factory in Leipzig, Saxony. Carrying a load of around 15.5 tonnes, the truck will travel five kilometres between a Dräxlmaier location and the Leipzig plant and will be operated by Elflein Transport & Logistik of Bamberg, Bavaria. The truck is leased from MAN’s commercial vehicle rental company, Business Fleet Services.
