IAA Transportation 2024: Cummins embraces Euro 7 technologies at the IAA

Cummins X10

Germany / USA – Drivetrain manufacturer Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana launched its new generation X10 diesel engine, part of the Cummins HELM platform, at last month's 2024 IAA Transportation event in Hanover, Germany. Compliant with Euro 7 regulations, this product will serve the on-highway heavy-duty segment in Europe (26-44 tonne). This engine is set to go into series production in 2026 in the Jamestown, New York factory, which is being upgraded to the tune of USD500m.

Additionally, Cummins highlighted its hydrogen combustion engine, the X15H, which offers up to 530 horsepower, representing the company's hydrogen-focused ambitions for the future. Whilst this market has yet to mature, Cummins remains energy agnostic in its product development strategy.
