Republic Services places further 100-unit order for McNeilus electric refuse trucks

USA – Oshkosh Corporation of Oshkosh, Wisconsin has announced that its subsidiary, McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc of Dodge Center, Minnesota has received an additional order for 100 ‘Volterra ZSL’ battery electric refuse trucks from Republic Services Inc, an environmental services company based in Phoenix, Arizona.
100 more Volterra ZSL vehicles will join Republic Services’ fleet, following the fulfilment of a 50-unit order placed a year ago. The customer says that 50% of its total new truck purchases over the next five years will be electric vehicles.
