Zenobē to build part-funded truck charging hub in Australia

Mockup of planned truck charging hub in Leichhardt, New South Wales

Australia / UK – In September, Zenobē Energy Ltd of London, UK announced that it was awarded AUD8.5m from the federal government to build Australia’s first offsite truck charging hub in Leichhardt, a suburb of Sydney.

Zenobē will establish the truck charging site on behalf of customer Woolworths Group Ltd, a retail and finance company based in Bella Vista, also in the Greater Sydney area. In Zenobē’s first ‘Electric-Vehicle-as-a-Service’ contract in Australia, it will install twenty-two charging points (at a total cost of AUD19m) and lease sixty battery electric trucks to Woolworths.
