New Flyer to receive CAD25m-plus in state and federal funding to expand electric bus production in Canada

Canada – Bus manufacturer New Flyer Industries Canada ULC of Winnipeg, Manitoba announced in October that it will expand its production capacity for electric buses in Canada using state and federal money.

New Flyer says it will repurpose existing space at its production facility in Winnipeg and lease another site for final vehicle commissioning. In doing so, the company will expand its production capacity of battery electric and fuel cell electric transit buses and trolleybuses to 240 equivalent units1 per annum by 2027.
