The Reefer Group and Trailer Dynamics announce strategic partnership

France / Germany – The Reefer Group of Normandie, France and Trailer Dynamics GmbH of Aachen, have announced a strategic partnership to develop a fully electrified refrigerated trailer that aims to reduce emissions in the cold chain logistics industry. This trailer will integrate advanced electric systems to power both the refrigeration and propulsion units, making it zero-emission. Traditionally, the industry has relied on diesel-powered refrigeration units which are currently being phased out in Europe through legislation. Trailer Dynamics brings expertise in drivetrain electrification, and The Reefer Group contributes its knowledge of refrigeration and cold chain management.
According to the companies, this synergy promises a trailer that reduces carbon footprint, lowers operational costs and dependence on fossil fuels. The project also leverages support from Thermo King, an investor in Trailer Dynamics, which provides additional expertise in electrified transport refrigeration units.
