Sales of Hyundai’s HFC Elec City bus exceeds 1,000 units

South Korea - September 30, 2024, Hyundai Motor Company of Seoul announced cumulative global sales of its Elec City hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric (FCEV) bus totalled 1,032 units. The bus was first introduced in 2019, becoming the world’s first urban hydrogen-electric bus.

The Elec City is powered by a 180-kW fuel cell system, feeding off an 875-litre hydrogen tank to charge its 78.4 kWh high-capacity battery pack. It has a driving range of 550 km.
