MAN receives order for 27 battery electric buses from Austrian private operator

Germany / AustriaMAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of the Traton Group based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, has announced an order for 27 battery electric buses from Ledermair Holding GmbH of Schwaz, Tyrol – the largest order for electric buses the company has received thus far from a private operator in Austria.

The Tyrolean company, which provides transport services for municipalities, schools, and tourism, has ordered 27 vehicles from the ‘Lion’s City E’ range, including 19 12-metre buses and eight 18-metre articulated buses. MAN says that Ledermair is also enlisting the services of ‘MAN Transport Solutions’, which is providing its digital charging management tools.
