Euro Bus Expo 2024: Van Hool coaches on show while bus products are discontinued by new parent VDL

UK – As far as its coach products are concerned, it is “business as usual” for Belgian manufacturer Van Hool, according to Darren Dowsett, who spoke to Truck & Bus Builder in his capacity as managing director of VDL Bus & Coach UK1 at the Euro Bus Expo in Birmingham, held at the NEC between 12-14 November.
Since VDL Groep took over Van Hool’s bus and coach business in April, coach manufacturing operations in Koningshooikt (Belgium) and in North Macedonia have continued as normal in order to fulfil outstanding orders. Dowsett said, however, that all Van Hool bus products have been discontinued under the new owner.
