Ashok Leyland signs MoU to supply FlixBus India with coach chassis

FlixBus & Ashok Leyland sign chassis supply agreement
India - Ashok Leyland Ltd of Chennai, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FlixBus India Pvt Ltd1, a subsidiary of Flixmobility GmbH (brand name: Flix Bus) of Munich, Germany to enhance inter-city mobility across India.
This partnership will provide FlixBus’s operating bus partners with access to Ashok Leyland’s latest Garud 13.5M / 15M front entry intercity chassis and comprehensive after-sales services across India. Together, Ashok Leyland and FlixBus said they aim to offer improved travel options while empowering local bus operators with cutting-edge technology. (FlixBus will buy the cowl chassis from Ashok Leyland and have S.M.Kannappa Automobiles (P) Ltd (Brand - Prakash) build the body option on it. The agreement with Ashok Leyland broadens FlixBus’ chassis options; currently it has a small fleet with Volvo chassis and SM Kannappa bodies.
