Euro Bus 2024: An update from Irizar UK

UK / Spain – The UK arm of Spanish bus builder, the Irizar Group of Ormaiztegi, Spain, participated at the Euro Bus Expo 2024, held at the NEC in Birmingham, showcasing the Irizar i8, the latest Irizar i6S Efficient, and the electric Irizar ie tram. T&BB spoke with Andrew Blundell, Managing Director at Irizar UK and Julie Hartley, Sales Director of Irizar UK who told us that the company is moving forward with plans to establish a new head office near Blyth, in Nottinghamshire. The four acres of land were originally purchased in 2018, but due to Brexit and the Pandemic, the plan was put on ice. The new facility is expected to include a showroom, vehicle handover facilities and office spaces as the Irizar brand continues to grow in the UK. The facility is planned to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2025.
