Irizar announced that UK transport operator the Go-Ahead Group has ordered 28 ie tram electric buses, which will operate as part of Kent’s “Fastrack service” on its BRT line in November of this year.

Solutrans 2023 was held between 21-25 November at Eurexpo in Lyon, France. Over 1,000 exhibitors and 50,000 guests gathered for the 17th edition of this historic show, centred around the European heavy and light commercial vehicle industry.

The first deliveries of the second-generation vehicle are set for May 2024 and will be produced at the new truck production plant in Lazkao, Spain.  According to Irizar, the truck is lighter, has a redesigned cab and has made significant improvements to its batteries.

Scania says it is working with Spanish coachbuilder Irizar to integrate the ‘i6s Efficient’ with a Scania gas-powered chassis, with a target completion date of end-of-2025.

The weight of the new generation i6S Efficient has been reduced by 950 kgs and its emissions reduced by up to 13% compared with previous generations. The vehicle is available on any chassis on the market and in an integral version with two or three axles, from 10.78 to 15 metres, between 36 – 55 seats and DAF engines from 364 hp to 522 hp.

Irizar has launched its very first battery-electric truck, which is billed as the lowest-entry truck on the market and is designed for specialised urban and construction applications. It was exhibited at Solutrans in Lyon, France.

Bus and coach manufacturer Irizar Group, based in Ormaiztegi, Spain, has announced it has manufactured its first series production model of the i4 LNG coach. It is now available to order, built on a Scania 320 EB 4x2 chassis, equipped with a 9 litre, 320 hp Scania LNG engine.
