ABB acquires Solutions Industry & Building (SIB)

France / Switzerland – Automated technology specialist ABB Ltd of Zürich, Switzerland, has acquired French cable protection systems company, Solutions Industry & Building* (SIB), enhancing ABB’s electrification and safety solutions portfolio. This is part of ABB’s strategy to enhance its Installation Products Division and strengthen its market position in Europe, the Middle East, and North America, particularly in specialised markets such as OEM applications. In terms of individual product lines, the acquisition will complement ABB’s PMA, Harnessflex and Adataflex brands. Financial details were not made public.
Solutions Industry & Building (SIB) is a French manufacturer specialising in construction products and premium cable protection systems, including cable glands and accessories designed for industrial, railway, and hazardous environments like oil and gas.
