Solaris receives first electric bus order from an American customer

Solaris electric buses designed for the North American market
Poland / USA – Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o. of Bolechowo, Poland has received the first order for its electric buses from an American customer, a year and a half after it announced its intention to enter the North American market at the UITP summit in Barcelona.
Solaris has agreed to supply up to sixteen buses to the King County Metro Transit Department, the public transit authority which serves King County and the city of Seattle in the state of Washington. Solaris will deliver two 40-foot buses and two 60-foot articulated buses in the second half of 2026; King County Metro has the option to order an additional twelve units.
