U.S. Department of Energy to award small businesses up to USD65m for hydrogen R&D

USA – Last week, the U.S. Department of Energy made new funding available to small businesses for research and development into hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, including components for medium- and heavy-duty transport.

Approximately USD65m will be made available to applicants, allowing for up to 260 awards. Successful applicants will receive up to USD200,000 in the first phase to prove the feasibility of an idea. They may then receive up to USD1m towards further development of their idea, including prototyping, validation, and testing.
