Vietnam’s CV market continues to recover in Q3 2024

Vietnam - The market for commercial vehicles over 2 tons gvw in Vietnam continued to recover in the third quarter of 2024, with sales growing by 21% to 15,507 units from weak year-earlier sales of 12,815 units, based on data released by the Vietnam Automotive Manufacturers Association (VAMA).

Economic growth in the country accelerated to 7.4% year-on-year in the third quarter from 7.1% in the second quarter, despite several powerful typhoons which caused widespread flooding and damage in large parts of the country during the quarter.
