Webasto brings in restructuring expert to secure its future

Germany – Webasto SE, a supplier of roof systems, HVAC, and battery packs based in Stockdorf, Bavaria, has announced efforts to restructure the business following the appointment of Johann Stohner of Alvarez and Marsal to the management board.
Stohner, who is managing director at the New York consulting firm, known for its turnaround and performance improvement work, took up the role of Chief Restructuring Officer on 15 January following “weeks” of discussions with Webasto. A restructuring plan will be agreed with the supervisory board and the works council and implemented by the second quarter of 2025.
