HD Hyundai Infracore signs new investment agreement

South Korea - Heavy equipment and machinery manufacturer, HD Hyundai Infracore Company Ltd, headquartered in Incheon, has signed a preliminary “Investment Agreement” to build new engine and battery pack manufacturing facilities in Jeollabuk-do in Gunsan province.

The agreement was signed with the Jeollabuk-do local government and the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation at the end of December and involves HD Hyundai Infracore investing KRW 116.8 billion (USD80m) in new production facilities covering an area of 62,700 sq m. The site is scheduled to become operational in 2027, with facilities for the production of large engines for the defense and power generation sectors and a separate plant dedicated to the production of battery packs for commercial and industrial vehicles.
