Ecuador commercial vehicle market falls by 5.1% in 2024

Ecuador - Sales of commercial vehicles in Ecuador last year fell by 5.1% to 14,850 units (made up of 9,420 trucks, 4,628 vans and 802 buses) compared with 15,646 units (9,662 trucks, 4,994 vans and 990 buses), according to data released by Association of Automotive Companies of Ecuador (AEADE),

AEADE, when breaking down the totals in each segment said that Hino was the leader in the truck segment with 1,856 units, followed by Sinotruk with 1,697, Chevrolet with 1,433, and JAC with 1,097 units. The other manufacturers registered sales of fewer than 600 units in the year, such as JMC (599) and DongFeng (537).
