Daimler Buses opens 100th eCitaro service station

eCitaro service centre in Lemgo, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

Netherlands / Germany – Daimler Buses GmbH (owned by Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany) has opened its 100th eCitaro service centre in Lemgo, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. This facility, operated by AHL GmbH & Co. KG of the Beresa Group, specialises in maintaining and repairing all-electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro buses. This expands Daimler’s European aftermarket network leading to greater vehicle uptime and therefore profitability for operators.

These service centres are equipped with modern infrastructure tailored for electric buses. Technicians receive specialised training in high-voltage technology, enabling them to work safely on components such as the electric drive axle, inverters, fuses, electrical lines, and roof-mounted air conditioning systems. The facilities include elevated work platforms for safe access to roof-mounted components and cranes for handling heavy batteries, allowing for efficient repairs and maintenance.
