Wabash DuraPlate Dry Van

USAWabash National Corporation of Lafayette, Indiana has begun production of its 2026 model year dry van semi-trailer, which features a new braking system and a lighter body.

Wabash’s 2026 ‘DuraPlate Dry Van’ comes with new brake drums supplied by Webb Wheel Products Inc of Cullman, Alabama.1 These ‘Webb Vortex Drums’ have a built-in “wear indicator” that will allow operators to monitor brake wear and tear. With their patented cooling fins for dissipating heat, Wabash claims that the new brakes have an extended life of up to 25% more than the disc brakes it previously used.
