TuSimple rebrands as CreateAI as it shifts away from self-driving technology

USA – Late last year, TuSimple Holdings Inc, a tech company based in San Diego, California, rebranded as ‘CreateAI’, signalling its intention to move away from its work on self-driving vehicles towards applications in the digital entertainment industry.

TuSimple’s new website, https://iamcreate.ai, puts the company’s new focus on digital entertainment front and centre. In its corporate overview, CreateAI says it is “pioneering the future of digital entertainment content production, seamlessly blending cutting-edge generative AI technology with the creativity of world-class talent”. The website retains a page on self-driving vehicle technology, featuring images of International trucks (although the deal struck between TuSimple and Navistar in 2020 has since been terminated).
